Nursery Officer

Little Marvels Nursery Services is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and qualified Nursery Officer to join our dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about early childhood development and committed to delivering outstanding care and education in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 0–5, ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and development.
- Support the planning and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote learning across the seven areas of the EYFS.
- Observe, assess, and record children’s progress, contributing to individual learning journeys and development plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment, adhering to all safeguarding, health & safety, and hygiene policies.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers, and colleagues, fostering a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
- Work collaboratively with the nursery team to support the implementation of policies, procedures, and Ofsted standards.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Person Specification:
- Minimum Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of the EYFS framework and child development principles.
- Experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
- A warm, nurturing approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
