Little Marvels Nursery Services is seeking a confident and experienced Senior Nursery Officer to support the leadership and delivery of outstanding early years provision. This role is ideal for a qualified practitioner ready to take on additional responsibilities, mentor junior staff, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our nurturing and inclusive setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, and compliance.
• Lead by example in planning and delivering engaging activities that promote development across the seven areas of learning within the EYFS framework. 
• Observe, assess, and document children’s progress, contributing to individual learning journeys and supporting key worker responsibilities.
• Act as a role model for best practice in safeguarding, behaviour management, and inclusive care.
• Mentor and support Nursery Officers and Assistants, offering guidance, feedback, and encouragement.
• Assist with staff rotas, room organisation, and resource management to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Build strong relationships with parents and carers, promoting effective communication and partnership in children’s learning.
• Contribute to internal audits, Ofsted preparation, and quality assurance processes.

Person Specification:

• Minimum Level 2 or 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (Level 4 or 5 desirable).
• Proven experience in an early years setting, ideally in a senior or supervisory role.
• Strong working knowledge of the EYFS statutory framework, Ofsted inspection criteria, and safeguarding procedures.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
• A nurturing, professional approach with a commitment to child-centred learning and inclusive practice.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and take initiative when needed.
