Our Rooms

Within the nursery we have 2 play areas.  We have a Baby Room for our younger children with the capacity to care for 9 babies. This space is for children aged 3 months – 2 years. Babies are encouraged to communicate and their attempts at communication are valued, encouraging development, confidence and security. Our Baby Room is designed to provide a calming atmosphere where babies can thrive with warm, supportive relationships with staff.

Our Toddler / Pre-School Room is equipped to meet the needs of children aged 2-4 years with a capacity of 48 children. The environment is set up to develop independent learning skills which are essential precursors for happy and confident children as they make their transition to primary school. Children develop listening, attention and memory skills, as well as an increasing understanding to sequencing, sound and letter recognition. As children develop they are able to play more imaginatively alongside children of different ages.  The home area supports the children as they begin to re-enact what they see at home, in their play at nursery.

Both of our nursery rooms are divided into designated areas for learning and play activities as outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage. These include areas for construction, role-play, home corner, mathematics and creative exploration in our ‘messy’ room.

At Little Marvels Day Nursery, we are committed to promoting equality and valuing diversity, in an inclusive and supportive environment for all children, parents and carers.  We celebrate festivals throughout the nursery, embracing all cultural festivals important to our children and their families. 

Outside Play Area and Field

Our children enjoy exploring both our stimulating indoor areas and spacious out door and field areas. The large grassed areas enable our children to participate in not only physical activities that develop their motor skills but learning about the outside world. We also have a further outside play area, where the children’s learning can be supported through a range of resources and equipment, as well as having the opportunity to play freely, explore and try out our wheeled toys. 

We are open Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm 

We are open 51 weeks of the year (1 week closure at Christmas)
