The Sunshine Centre
Welcome to Little Marvels Nursery Services at The Sunshine Centre!
The Sunshine Centre is situated in a secure area on The Hewens College Campus in Hewens Road, Hayes. The nursery offers full daytime care for children aged between 3 months and 5 years old. The nursery is open all year round from Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:00am to 6:00pm.
We have strong links with the primary schools within The Rosedale Hewens Academy Trust. This collaboration supports the transition for our children as they transfer from nursery to mainstream school. We work closely with Hewens Primary school offering a drop off and pick up service for children who attend the school nursery through the 30 hour funding scheme.
The nursery is situated in a prime location, in close proximity to London Transport links.
Our Rooms
With many spacious play areas, outdoor spaces and high quality learning resources we are able to offer the perfect environment to encourage your child’s development.
Baby Room
Our designated Baby Room has the capacity for 9 babies. The environment is designed specifically for non-mobile babies. It is calming, whilst providing plentiful stimulating sensory experiences for our younger babies.
Toddler Room
Our Toddler Room has the capacity for 24 toddlers. Toddlers are encouraged to communicate and their attempts at conversation are valued to ensure they receive an affirming experience, encouraging development of confidence and security. The environment supports social interaction including role play and small group activities, encouraging children to play talk and learn together.
Pre-School Room
Our Pre-School Room has the capacity for 24 children and comprises of a playroom which is divided into designated areas for learning and play activities as outlined in the Early Years Foundation Stage. At pre-school level, we aim to develop independent learning, inquiring and listening skills as well as communication and social skills. Our children participate in structured interactive activities for language and literacy in the Early Years including developing listening, attention and memory skills, as well as an increasing understanding to sequencing, sound and letter recognition. In addition, we also offer focussed learning experiences to ensure that all our children are provided with solid foundations to enable them to continue to flourish as they enter school years.
At Little Marvels Day Nursery - Hewens, we are committed to promoting equality and valuing diversity, in an inclusive and supportive environment for all children, parents and carers. We celebrate festivals throughout the nursery, embracing all cultural festivals important to our children and their families.
Outside Play Area and Field
Our children enjoy exploring both our stimulating indoor areas and spacious out-doors. Around our nursery is a vast array of both grassed and woodland areas where children can participate in physical activities as well as learning about the outside world.

We are open Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 6:00pm
We are open 51 weeks of the year (1 week closure at Christmas)
