Nursery Manager

Location: Little Marvels Rosedale or Little Marvels Hewens 
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Little Marvels Nursery Services is seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead our vibrant early years setting. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate professional to take on a leadership role in a nurturing, inclusive, and high-quality childcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Manage the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all statutory requirements and delivering high standards of care and education.
  • Curriculum Delivery: Oversee the planning and implementation of a broad and balanced curriculum in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, ensuring coverage of the seven areas of learning.
  • Safeguarding and Welfare: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), ensuring robust safeguarding procedures are in place and adhered to, in line with Ofsted’s Early Years Inspection Handbook.
  • Staff Management: Lead, support, and develop a team of early years practitioners, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Family Engagement: Build strong, respectful relationships with parents and carers, promoting effective communication and partnership in children’s learning and development.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and evaluate practice to ensure the nursery meets and exceeds Ofsted’s criteria for ‘Good’ and ‘Outstanding’ provision, including leadership, teaching quality, behaviour and attitudes, and personal development.

Person Specification:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (Level 5 or above desirable).
  • Proven experience in a senior role within an early years setting.
  • Strong working knowledge of the EYFS statutory frameworkOfsted inspection criteria, and current safeguarding legislation.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
  • A commitment to inclusive practice and promoting equality and diversity.
  • Ability to foster a positive, child-centred environment that supports holistic development.
